Yep! I bought it when some wag at the range said that .22 Magnum isn't accurate! The Model 25MN proved him wrong! Mine likes CCI MaxiMags best - both solids and HP's. I have it fitted with the Bushnell 4-12X40AO scope. My Marlin 17V is set-up identically with the same scope - makes the training curve much smaller! And they use the same magazine! Marlin makes some very good rifles!

Try googling 'stock' and 'rifle' - then check out the various vendors/makers. Some do make stocks for the Marlin rimfires - whether they make 'em for the Magnums, I dunno.

I just got one of these myself. The rifle looks like it was left in a truck or out in the "open". There is only light rusting spots on the outer barrel, but the stock is in great shape. I have only fired a few shots from it, but I intend to run it through its paces soon. I will be re-bluing the barrel and find a scope to affix to it soon. Any reccomendations for one under $100? I am curious as to exactly how old it is. I have searched this site, and the web for the answer to this question, but the only thing I can find is for older guns. The closest thing I could find is here Marlin Manufacture Dates From everything I can find newer serial numbers go by the first two numbers, but this seems to cut off in 1990. The first two numbers on mine are "00". Does this mean it was made in 2000, or has the numbering system changed? Thanks in advance guys! |

| I got one about 5 years ago at Wal-mart The only time I miss with it is if I am off target this rifle would put slugs in the same hole or close to it if locked down in a shooting vise. Bought it for fox and other smaller vermin one of the best rifles i have ever owned. Likes cci's and winchesters best. Best $139.00 I ever spent

Center Point 4-16x40, $69.95 at Walmart. You cannot find a better scope for under $100. Period.
