Marlin Camp Carbine 9MM

I have a chance to buy a Marlin Camp Carbine 9mm. It's in about 95% condition and he wants me to make an offer. It has a medium powered scope worth probably around $20 to $30. He is a friend and I don't want to rip him off. On the other hand I want a decent deal. What do you think would be a fair price for both of us?

That's a good one, I paid around $224.00 for my camp .45 21 years ago. I have seen the 9mm in a pawn shop for $329 and thought I was stupid for not buying it... the mags fit the Smith [not sure which model] You might gage the prices in gunbroker.com and the other places too. Some prices I saw a while back was a bit high I thought $500/600 on the .45. My carbine is a delight to shoot, what I liked about it was the mags fit the colt 1911 models.
Good luck, I hate making offers, I think the 300 range is the top dollar, I don't have the pistol to go with the carbine, if I did, I might pay more to get it.

I got it for $300 with scope and a brand new ak47 magazine. It looks really good. I've always wanted one of these.

It uses S&W mod 59 mags. My local gun shop had one for 225 but it was dinged up a bit

I just got a pretty nice one from a guy on another forum for 300 shipped. No scope or mag though (he only had a 12 rounder and I can't get those in CA).

I think you made a good offer. And from the pictures, it looks to be worth every penny of it. And if it wasn't a good offer, your friend probably wouldn't have taken it anyhow...

And if they ever get them back in stock, here you go.

Yeah, and they keep introducing new ones. But we are working on it with the Heller supreme court decision.
