I need some help in taking the foward firing pin out of a marlin 336 RC. The tip of it broke off. In particular I need suggestions on how to take the exractor off to get to the second pin, and I need some help in taking the retaining pins out. Its over 50 years old and the firing pin has probably NEVER been taken out, so, knowing how metals are, the retaining pins may be welded in. I hope not. I cant get the rear one out so far. I appreciate your feedback.

This is from the Marlin owners group. "Most often the Marlin round bolts extractor has a good track record for durability. On occasion they fail to extract their job. On rare occasion, the make a cartridge jam. Here are some tips on both. First remove the bolt, place in a padded vice, extractor facing away from you. Needle nose pliers seems to be the go to and a tool most folks have. Place the needle nose against the open end of the extractors clamping ring, and give a good slap with the palm of your hand it should come off. " Posted by Swany MARLIN ROUND BOLT EXTRACTOR REPAIR
