Marlin 22's getless attention from 3rd parties than ruger. Typically because they are built well enough they don't need lots of mods or accessories.

The 795 is a fairly recent model compared to many others, so it may be a little bit before you see 3rd party add ons.(altough Mossberg must think it's a good rifle, they started making a knock off called the plinker)

Funny how I can usually find 2-3 times as many used 10/22's on a shelf as I can Marlin Model 60's yet the model 60 factory sales have out numbered the 10/22's a little more than 2:1

Model 795, while fairly new in Gun Years, is just a model 70 with LSHO
I think they were trying to make it more like the 995 in style.

Someone could make a fortune in Hi Cap (15+) magz for Marlin 795's, if they had any sense.

Hi Marty,
$50 seems too high, how about $40.00 including S/H?

I'm gonna throw Numrich under the bus for this one...

I ordered the 15-round mags from numrich for $21.45, they're the National Magazine SKU R15-0040 ON THE BAG for $15.79...so I got taken for $6 each on 'em by Numrich.

Further, they DEFINITELY do not fit in my 989-M2...so I'm peeved about that as well.

From the reviews on the National Mags site, it takes a bit of filing to make them fit...which makes them non-returnable if you do.

Right now, I'm thinking about returning them...or I might put them in a 795, if they fit, I'll keep 'em.

Marlin 795 high capacity magazine

Call Promag.

They are thinking about making a high capacity magazine or drum for the Marlin 795. It may also fit some of Marlin's other guns too.

Let them know how you feel.

I sent 'em an email

VERY detailed email...the 795 & 70P (Papoose) share the same mags. That's about 11 million total rifles that need Hi-Cap mags.

Enough to make someone fairly rich.

I took a national magazine POS 15 rounder and a factory marlin 10 rounder and took the floor plate off the marlin and the top .75" of the national mag off, took the follower off the national mag, took both springs and kinda twisted the ends together and put a bit of epoxy on them to make the two springs as one, then I took the bodies of both mags and epoxied them together and after they dried I sanded them smooth then I shoved the long hybrid spring and marlin follower up the body and put the floor plate back onto the bottom of the new 25 round mag!
So it seems a bit akward with this long stick mag, but hey it works!
(It helps to hit it with some black paint so the color is the same all over)
Sorry for the world's longest run on sentence!

hey, i just got a marlin .22...but it says "model 701" i'm assuming that its a model 70, but i'm not sure...i have a few other questions like one that has to go with this thread, the fact that i would like a 25 rd mag, but cannot find out...the other is i've seen that some form of a model 70 can be altered to be full auto, and i was wondering if mine was one of them...the last question is, i have seen "the poor man's MP5" which was like a conversion kit for some sort of marlin .22 and it has a GIANT banana clip, and it is for sure bigger than 25 rds...i was just wondering if there was an even bigger clip than 25 rds

Pics of the roll-stamp on the barrel are pretty much required here...

It's probably a model 70-L, which had a laminate stock...

I do wonder if a GSG 50-round mag could be modded as above to fit a Marlin 70....hmmmmm......

This is Marlin part # 407746. It is a 15 rd. magazine that fits the Model 795 if memory serves me correctly. I've had a multitude of Marlins so I could be remembering wrong also.
