Marlin 39-A Mountie scope base

I have a Marlin 39-A Mountie .22 that I bought in the mid-70's (serial number dates to 60's). I love the rifle. It is a very good shooter and just plain fun to shoot. Was wondering if there was a scope base available for it. My eyes are getting bad and I would like to put some glass on it. The receiver appears to be tapped already on top for it.

Thanks for the info. I appreciate it. A friend told me to call Brownel's. Seemed to think they had 'em. If they don't, I'll try your suggestion.

The base for a 336 wont fit, the hole spacing is different. MidwayUSA has two listed for the 39A; a B-square for $6.50 and a weaver for $8.30.
