Yes, or email Rimfire Technologies, they'll send you a set of four for a few dollars

I noticed you didnt have any real pics of the ATI stock for the marlin, heres mine...

I got this stock about a year and a half ago now I believe. Has been a good stock, it looks nose heavy but its not. It actually feels well balanced. I love mine.

The company I originaly posted an ATI link to went under.
Unfortunately, their website is still kind of up.

Where did you get it at and for how much?
If you liked the service the company gave you, pop up a link

E-mailed just this very minute. Thanks for the direction.

Do you happen to have a lead on a quality walnut stock for the 795's? The guy on e-bay sure has some sharp looking ones for the 60. He indicated they are made in a factory in upstate New York but did not offer up the actual source...

Hey Big Shrek,
Don't mean to hijack the thread on my first post BUT ...
Why the Rimfiretechnologies trigger guard? Is it a crucial part in the trigger mod
(adding the 6/32" set screw) or is it just that y'all like metal parts and not plastic?
Just wondering if the same mod can be done to the stock parts

thanks a lot and DANG am I learning a lot by reading this forum!!

You can still do all the trigger mods with the Original Equipment

The metal trigger guard from RT, just feels GOOD
It's very solidly built...and it just kinda makes me happy

The older original 60 stocks had quite a few OEM that were walnut, you can get those thru Numrich...but there's no telling what quality of grain you will get, each one is different.
SwedeSteve likes this.

Sorry took so long this is where i got it Advanced Technology Fiberforce Stock Marlin 60, 990, 995 Series Tube and Clip-Fed Synthetic Black - MidwayUSA its from Midwayusa.com and they are $44.99 before tax and shipping.

So far I love the stock, it looks nose heavy but its not, it still feels pretty well balanced front to back. I LOVE the pistal grip. It was really nice to have when I was in Texas and hunting Squirrels, I could aim it upwards and hold it ALOT more steady (where i was at not many houses in my area, never aimed where people were) and just felt easier to Control to me. I would give it a 9 our of 10. Only thing they could have done better was give adjustable piller beds was every penny worth 44.90 to me

About $50 during the last Boyd's sale, so far they're special runs only for Marlin 60/795 stocks.
If you want one of those stocks, email Boyd's, tell them what color you want (Natural) and they'll let you know by Email when the next run is available. Check their colors chart, they do have quite a variety of colors. The pink was done by stain.

Stain was about $10 at Home Despot, the gal used a nifty trick to get pink as a color, she put the color sample in as a paint mix, and scanned a paint can to make it happen, but put the stain can underneath the squirty nozzles After a good shaking, we had our needed pink for the wifey's stock

I am starting to wonder how a different color laminate stock would have handled the pink stain...

so instead of using a base white she put the stain in place? Not a bad idea! I was thinking it would be pretty cool to do that with a Red or Yellow or a Blue color.

Yep...it'll work on any color, the DOWNSIDE is that it's motherbleeping Minwax...the worst stain in the industry.

Which means you have to pray that it covers equally...which it usually doesn't.
I had to fight with it a bit...it ain't perfect, but it'll do.

Best to leave it an extra 30 minutes in the shaker, and then shake it VERY well before each use.

I place Minwax right next to Remington Bulk ammo...Use only when nothing else is available.

Is that the only kind of stain they had you could do that with?

Only pink stain that I could find in a city of 500,000...recently the major paint/stain store Merritt's closed down...which meant I was stuck. Home Depot & Lowe's can only mix what they sell and only a very few of their people know how to fiddle with the system to make pink stain because most Big Box stores won't pay folks enough to do anything but read a label.

I never got an answer back from any of the firearms MFR's that I asked about where they got their stain for the pink stock rifles all over the place...

So...I went the relatively easy route...it turned out OK....but it's not up to my standards of staining. It did take a little extra effort on my part to make sure the stain got worked in relatively well...as in I had to re-do some parts with a paintbrush so the color changes would look right going from laminate layer to laminate layer (I.E. three distinctive shades). However...a high quality stain could have done the job with one/two coats, instead of two coats and some creative work with a paintbrush.

Minwax coverage has always annoyed the stuffings out of me...and it probably always will. It's not self-leveling nor do the pigments tend to work out properly. Coverage is almost always streaky. It remains my stain of last resort.

But if I ever find a nice pink stain easily available...I'll be using that for further projects for the wifey & any daughters I might produce...

Have you tried using a sprayer? If you use a sprayer and keep quick even stroaks you may be able to apply several small coats and maby get it covered more evenly. Just a thought.

Anyone have any good ideas on what rails/mounts to use and a good red dot to use on the 795, not looking for anything too serious, 50yd range, big yards, whatever it may be?

Center Point makes an inexpensive one that you can get at most Walmarts...around $39.98 there.

As far as a rail, Rimfire Technologies makes the best one ever for the Marlin semi-auto's.
https://www.rimfiretechnologies.com/...ductCode=15011
Fits almost all Marlin semi-autos...however, I do suggest mic'ing your rail on the newer 60/795's, as Marlin's current molds are not as precise as older ones...some of the new (2001+) rails are measuring .44 to .46 wide instead of the straight .43, so a micrometer check is needed on new weapons before ordering...It can be corrected with a triangular file & careful application of black paint
