Marlin 440

I'm going to call on a Marlin 440, guy wants $100.00 for it. Problem is I'm not sure what it is. He says its a semi auto. Is it like a model 60? Thanks

Probably a Revalations or other Store-Brand Marlin...once we know the proper name & number we can narrow it down for ya.

The 60-types are all tube-mag fed.
The 70/795 types are all clip-mag fed.

The 444 is a lever-action rifle...and worth well over $100

Marlin 440

Went and looked at the 440 and bought it. From all the info on the different web sights its looks like a model 70. Excellent condition, and for $100.00 I could not pass it up. Has a banded front sight, nickel trigger and magazine also has a very nice sling. Sling set up looks all original. It is a Coast to Coast model. The barrel has the CtC emblem and after that it say Coast to Coast Stores- Model CC440-Marlin Firearms Co. S/N starts with a 2 so I guess it was made in 1972. If anyone has any info on this gun I would sure like to hear from them. Could not find anything on the 440. Thanks
