Marlin 60 problem

I have an old Glenfield model 60. It does not have a serial number. When I first got it it was very dirty. I cleaned it and removed all the lube. Just a little left at key points. It seemed to fire pretty good for a while and then it started to jam and not and not eject. I saw the pics of were the eject spring should, but mine is different than that.
I also tried to buy new springs and always get the wrong ones.
Any help would be appreciated
Here are some pics of the action.

Ok, on the barrel or action housing there should be a small pair of letters, and not the JW in a circle. That will help determine the exact age...but it's definitely an early model with the solid ejector instead of the ejector wire.

This is what they call an OLD-style model 60. Unfortunately, I've not dealt with one of these...as even my model 99-G had the replacement feed throat/ejector replacement kit put in it before I got it.

I have several old style fire control groups like yours. Give me today to pull one and compare it to your photos. At first glance it looks like the ejector wire isn't above the block but let me look at mine and I'll holler back.......

Went to range today and tried some CCI Mini Mags. I have not been able to find them up until now. It shot a lot better with them, but still had several FTE.

It did not like the Winchester or the Armscor 22lr at all. So it is an ejection problem.

I think I have decided to put it up for sale. I don't want to fool with it anymore.

Now that sounds like a plan, can you post a pic of the finished result?

Ok, you made a pretty good deal.
Before you do anything...the receiver is missing an E-clip on the outside of the receiver. It is a 3/32 and you can get them at a hardware store for a few cents. Install that and the problem should disappear.
There should be three E-clips on the outside of each side plate on the firing mechanism. Without the clip the bolt doesn't come back straight and will cause the side plate with the missing clip to move causing the action to malfunction.
I repaired my old model Glenfield 60 this way.
Try it you'll like it.

NOTE: Refer to picture six and you will see the shaft protusion that is missing the E-clip.

Good work, Jarhead
