Sierra has a listing for a 155 gr. hpbt in 6.5. I havent seen them in the stores here but I would like to try them. The counter person where I get all my reloading stuff said the Swede wont shoot them very well. They are too heavy to stabilize in the Swede.

i dont know if thats right snakebite?...not that im disputing the word of your gun guy,but the swede army used a 160 gr round nose before they changed to the 140 something. (or was it just 140?) but anyway they had great success with it. although the driving bands are probablt shorter than on a round nose?...but no,cause the driving bands on my 140 gr's are even smaller and they shoot great. and another thing thats casts a shadow of doubt in my mind on that is the extremely long barrel's on the swede'. it seems they could stabalize anything? i guess ill have to research this more. well theres a gun show here this weekend, ill just check if they have any 160 gr round noses or any other kind in 160 gr and ill let ya know how they do. thanks for the reply! ya got me thinkin now.

Let me know what you find out. I agree with your thinking too. I need to buy more bullets real soon and was wanting to try the heavier ones. guess I'll just have to buy them when that gun guy isnt there so he doesnt give me any grief!
