Does anyone know if the turkish mauser can be rebarreled to a 22-250 caliber? what needs to be done besides a new barrel and headspacing? Also where is a cheap place to get barrels in this caliber? Any help would be great, thanks.

You can rebarrel it to anything you want, providing the cartridge will fit in the action. Adams and Bennett offer a 22-250 in the large ring.

the only kink you will run into with the turks is the thead size isn't the same as standard 98. i can't quote the shank lenth but the dia is .980 the same as a small ring.
they are strong enough to handle standard calibers, i have a 22-250 a 6mmm rem and a .280 as far as qualitly i have found the rifles were made by brono and might have been re worked at ankra |

You will have to buy an unthread barrel. The threads on the Turkish Mausers are different than the others. Outside of that, have at it. Let us know how it works out for you.
