Indys right about identifying your accumulation in the event ya kick the bucket unexpectedly. so many wifes haven't a clue as too their worth or what they even are. i would suggest creating hang-tags on each one identifying make, model, caliber, current worth, and if any are heirlooms or promised to someone. also put the safe combination where only she can find it; its neccesary too.

finally i told my wife when i die, have a firearms auction. she will get better prices for them. dealers/pawnshop's will only give a fraction of their value. been to a couple auctions locally and the fools really up the bidding.
