k98 stock question

Hello everyone, this is my first post on here. I have a really nice RC k98 with the
laminate stock and I wanted to get the stock cleaned up nicely. So I was wondering would sweating the cosmoline out of the stock pull up any of the stampings on the wood(eagles and swasticas). Also, after I got the stock cleaned I wanted to rub in some tunge oil, does this process turn out well for this particular stock?

Try this for cleaning the cosmo off the stock.
