Questions with my Yugo M24/47

My first question may sound kind of stupid but i am wondering why is it that i see a lot of regular color bolt assemblies, what i mean is not black but polished or bare metel. my bolt assembly is black and i don't know if it is for a different model or if it is just a different color. My next question is how the heck do you get the hand gaurd off after you remove all the rings? I have tried everything i can think of but it won't come off. Does surplus ammo misfire a lot or is there something rong with my firing pin? My last Question is how do i stop the cartridges, fired and unfired, from not stay on the bolt? I think the problem is that the bolt doens't catch the bullet when I push it forward but i am not sure. Thanks for everyones help that helps me.
