Screws on yugo M24/27

I need to know what screw is the one that does not look like the one like the one on the rear site, the wierd shaped head ones, are they the locking screw or not. I was also wondering what the other screws are called as well because i don't have the regular looking screws, like the one on the rear sight. I have the ones that are like a circle with the cuts in them on the head of the screw but i need the other ones. Is it safe to shoot the gun without these. Where can i buy another pair of these? Thanks for all your help.

I didn't follow your post. rear sight screw ? trigger guard screws ? The trigger guard screws on most mausers are interlocking (& most have one in the pair missing). I think you can get them from numrich's (e-gunparts.com).

If one from each is missing you don't need worry at all. If one side is completely missing, a loose trigger guard may cause feeding problems if the floorplate moves & may result in inconsistent groups if the receiver moves.

hmmmmmm, are you reffering to the trigger guard screws that fit "INTO" the semi-circle cuts on the main trigger guard screw??? if so no biggie, just make sure the main screws are tight. replacements can be gotten.

but if one of the 2 main trigger guard screws that hold the trigger guard/magazine assembly, and the stock to the receiver. then "DO NOT FIRE" until a suitable replacement is found. using 1 screw will promote stock splittage.
