Help identify my Mauser

Can someone explain these markings to me? The pictures don't do this rifle justice. All numbers are matching, including the bayonet.

easy. argentine model 1909 DWM.

Is it a full rifle or a carbine ? (if its a carbine it will have a shorter barrel and a mannlicher style full stock).

Like this: http://www.surplusrifle.com/argentin...bine/index.asp

most probably a long rifle -- a carbine would have a turned down bolt (at least a cavalry carbine, not sure about the infantry version).

It's a full rifle. What does "DEUTSCHE WAFFEN-UND MUNITIONSFABRIKEN BERLIN" mean? And what is that marking on top of the receiver?

Yeah, guess it might help if I payed attention to what you wrote. I would take it the full rifle would be alittle more accurate then the carbine correct? Never fired this thing before, kind of interested to see what it can do.

I should think so. The carbine has a noticeable recoil. Let us know how it shoots.

Is there any way to adjust the sights on these rifles?
