speaking of simmons scopes, if you get the ones they make for the muzzle-loaders, they will hold recoil nicely and the scope tubes are thicker....main reason scope tubes are bent are either farmer-tightening, or not correctly aligning scope rings. I've got the 4x simmons one on a 22LR, very good scope. Sand-bagging, I get sub-moa at 100meters with my Winchester 250 with all 18 shots....Hope I can find an adjustable zoom heavy duty simmons for my Brazilian Mauser 30-06. Good Luck and I hope your Mauser is still doing great for you.

hehe, wow, I sure woke the dead with this one

ouchy....i should've shot it seriously yesterday, and took pics, but me and Laufer were so fixated on blasting the mosins, that our (2) 22LRs got set to the side soon after unpacking. Oh yeah, I should've mentioned that the sub-moa is with match ammo....practice match gives me on average 15/18 shots 1"-grp....and Eley Sport ammo isn't worth throwing away, 2 of 10rds misfire(have to rotate round to fire) and 1 of 20rds sends the bullet flying WAY off to the left or right, say 20yards either direction....but the practice match i shoot is 1100-1200fps average and the match-grade is rated 1038fps. It will be at the earliest next weekend before I can get back out there to sand-bag and take pics, I work out-of-town and am off next saturday too....too cold to go out today, plus got a date with myself at the movies at 4pm today(CST)
