| Iron Elite Scope Mounts?
I was looking through Shotgun News a few minutes ago and saw an ad for, Iron Elite, no drill scope mounts, for military mausers. By looking at the photos, it looks like the rear sight is removed and the mount goes into the slot, just like a scout mount. However, the mount extends to the rear so a regular eye relief scope can be used. The price is about $90.00. Has anyone tried this mount system, and are they solid? Nick |

| iron elite scope mount for 8mm mauser
I purchased the mount for my m48a yugo mauser 4 years ago and it is now my deer rifle. I wanted to scope the rifle and still have the option of having my original matching #s unissued gun without the gunsmith scares. The mount is very solid, so much so that I called Iron Elite to tell them how pleased I was. The scope sits a little higher than it would had the gun been drilled and tapped but a cheek pad took care of that issue. Of all the different ammo I've sent through my rifle S&B's 8x57JS SPCE 196gr ammo is the most accurate but also kicks the most and the mount doesn't mind and neither do I. Buy it.
