Question mauser identification

I recently aquired a mauser that I would like to identify the country of origin and manufacture. It is a model 93 with no crests or markings other than serial #C489 on left side of receiver. The odd things about it are the Trigger Guard has a hinged floorplate with a latch on the front side of the hoop for a bullet tip. It has side a mounted sling. It also has a gas port on the left side of the receiver ring. The only makers marks I can find are circle with an 8 inside on firing pin and safety and a circle with an A in it on the inside of the Trigger Guard. The overall length is 41.25 inches and barrel is 21.25 inches.

Possible Israeli

Some Mausers were sold to Israel and all markings were removed. Caliber and barrel length would help a little.

caliber is 7x57, barrel length is 21.25 inches overall length is 41.25 inches. I am now almost certain it is a spanish 1916 second pattern. The only thing now is has anyone seen a millitary hinged trigger guard for a 93 mauser?
