| Help!
is there any tool out there to adjust the site for a gew 98 rifle? my rifle shoots very high and left at 25 50 75 and 100 yards. I am using romanian milsurp ammo. all feedback is much needed

I do not know about the K98's but my M48A and M24/47 both shoot very high at 100 yards. The battle zero is set for something like 350 yards. There are ways to modify it to shoot on at a 100 yards but it means modifying the rear sight base. As for being left/right of POA you take a sight tool or a hammer and brass punch and move the sight the same direction it is off to move POI to POA. The front sight is drift adjustable which means you can move it left/right. |

Numrich and Brownells has the higher front sights for Mauser rifles. Windage adjust is to simply drift it left or right in the dovetail. The rear sight notch can be filed deeper, though only to a certain extent. It may be possible to file the ramp under the rear sight down further, lowering it.
