| 1891 Argentine (engineer's?) carbine
Have a nice 1891 Arg carbine. Looks like what I have heard referred to as an engineer's carbine. This one has a cracked stock and is missing thew middle barrel band with the upper sling swivel. I would like to find replacement parts. Can anyone help? I tried Numrich. No joy.

Try Sarco in NJ... watch their ads in shotgun news for parts. I would send you to the website but it sucks in my opinion.... Rich

Well: Found an engineers carbine at PTR91 inc. in CT. They had a few but none had bolts. The rifle is beautiful!!! Much nicer than the one I have. Metal finish looks new! It isn't refinished just well cared for. It was 59.00 so I figured I'd get it just for the stock and parts. Now I just want to take my bolt and put it in the new rifle. What a conundrum! Does anyone know how I can check the headspace or get a go/nogo gauge for the 7.65 Arg? Last edited by fdigregorio; 06-08-2007 at 04:55 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |
