Hey, I love my Turkish 8mm 1941 Ankara, but I wan't to turn it into a target rifle/ deer rifle. I do belive a mosin nagant m38 or m44 would be perfect to do, I have even seen it done with a bipod/scope/synthetic stock. I would like to know if I was to go to a gun pawn that the value of my Turk would be the same as the Mosin to trade? |

for the M44 about the same value, but a true M38 is worth more than the turk. But I think the longer barrelled truk would be more accurate than the mosin carbines.

Most pawn shops have no idea on the value of Mosin Nagants. In all actuality, your Turk is probably worth quite a bit more in pawn shop $$$ than the Mosin. This is using my experience locally and may be different in your area. If you're looking for target-type usage, the M-44 bayo is going to be a hindrance and it makes the gun want to twist clockwise when shooting. I'd prefer an M-38, M-91\30, or, if you have the $$$ a Finn M-28, M-39, etc...
