Need help and some info

Need some help on getting some more info about this gun.. Anything anybody can tell me would be great...

Here are some pictures of some markings on it.

"F.10424" is on the right
"A.3781" is on the left with a (T) above it.

It's marked ".30" and what looks like a "B"

Is marked "R.FAMAGE 1952"

This is a stamp or something.
It's an eagle holding a ribbon that says "Libertad Iordcn", I think.

Here is the gun...

Sizing down those pics won't help...you'll have to pull the camera a few inches away so it can focus...it's too close for the camera's focus range.

No biggie, just try again, but back up with the camera a few inches so you can get the detail. Your photos are coming out plenty big enough to be able to see them.

I am particularly interested in the mark on the top of the front of the receiver...Indicates country in South America.

R. Famage Columbian Mauser

Reformado Fabrica Materiales de Guerra (Bogota, Colombia)

From 1952 to about 1960, Colombia rebuilt (Reformado) most, if not all the older 7mm Mausers of various extractions (Steyr M1912, FN M24/30, Steyr M29 and Vz24) to a common stock .30/06 version. At the time, Colombia had just bought a small batch of FN M1950 .30 cal Mauser Rifles and Gendarmerie carbines. The Reformado rifles were built to closely approximate the New FN rifles. Many had the original barrel rebored and rechambered, others had new FN barrels applied. All the Reformado rifles are blocked into an "F" series of serial numbers. The crest may seem worn, because it usually is. Good condition R. Famage rifles usually have matching bolts. I have seen some that were Chambered for .308 later on, so I suggest you try a 30/06 round first, if it chambers up with a push of the finger, it is 30/06...
Value runs 200-400 for an all original, and around 150.00 for a sporter like you have.
Look for Manufacturer stamps on the left side of the receiver , or the letters FN or CZ anywhere.but it is More than likely a Belgium made FN Rifle.

On the left side it's marked

"F.10424" is on the right
"A.3781" is on the left with a (T) above it. It's a T in a circle..

Thanks for all your help!

The F # is the serial Number. Not sure what the A # is, the T in a circle is a Proof mark...
Glad I could help you out....

I can't help with the ID of the rifle, but I can help with the photos..
On your digital camera you'll have a button or setting known as Macro. This is what you use for close up pictures like what you're doing..

Usually, Macro is done without flash, so you might need to help out with a flashlight, troublelight, or just getting into a bright room.. Usually with Macro, you can get within 3-4" of the subject and still take an extremely sharp photo..

Here's a few that I've done, and it's very, very easy.. And since it's digital, if it doesn't work, delete it..

This was about 14" away from pie...

From about 12" away..

From about 8" away..
