Smile Recoil Pad or slip-on

I am looking to buy a recoil pad or a slip-on. I have a K98 made in 1938. Has anyone installed a recoil pad or slip-on? The steel butt plate is 4 3/4 L 1 3/8 w at the top and 1 3/4 w at the bottom. Any help or recommends on a pad is appreciated.

Thanks

LimbSaver: Precision-Fit Recoil Pad

I installed one of these a while back. If you search their site you might find one made for your rifle. More expensive than a slip-on but it looks a LOT better. If you don't find one in the correct size you'll need a belt sander to fit it up.

Ditto with JS. LimbSavers are great!

Cabellas has a slip on called the shooter's friend. It is what I use. I switch it from rifle to rifle and keep it in my range bag when I am not shooting. It's great, and you don't have to modify your rifle. Cost is about $20.00.
