I'd agree with 200. Mausers are drying up in a hurry, it seems. So if you like and the bore is nice go for it!

I paid $99. + shipping a couple years ago. since then I've seen them go up to about $120 then seemed to dissapear. I' looking at a new J&G sales ad in Shot Gun News , theres no m-48s but there's m24/47s for $129.95 .

The yugo mauser 8mm what a nice rifle and dirt cheap compared to modern rifles. surplus ammo is still very cheap only concern with that is the corresive primers

But, they are very easy to clean. Look online. You will find one for about $150.
