| ![]() I just bought at an Auction a Mauser M98, 8MM rifle very good shape, very good wood stock. Wondering how much it should be worth, and interested in selling this gun. Any help would be appreciated. On the Butt Stck plate "BISHOP" On the end of the barrel stamped in is "CAI ST A VT" Matching Serial Numbers on Receiver, box magazine, and Bolt Last edited by chevyboat1992; 02-19-2008 at 06:51 PM. | Need a little more info on the rifle. If you know what country It's from, that'll help. If you could, read the reciever and post what's written on it. Post any writing that you find on it and tell where you found it. Maybe we'll figure it out from there.

| Please give some more info and picture if possible Please post or photograph all the markings on the receiver as a large number of manufacturers became involved in producing this gun over many decades. Is the bore in very good condition - strong rifling and no rust? Many factors go into the value of this gun so all the info and pictures possible will be a real help to those wishing to give you advice. |
