Spanish Mauser Bolt Problems

Hey all. You have so helpful in helping me ID my Turk Mauser and with other info it is much appreciated. But now I have a new problem with the Spanish Mauser I have posted about previously....

I wanted to disassemble the bolt to it. I took the bolt apart no problems on my Parker Hale, that has a Mauser designed operating system. I also took the bolt apart on my new Turk Mauser with no problems. But, I can not get it fully disassembled on this Spanish Mauser. I can't get the cocking piece off of the firing pin under spring pressure. I depress the spring with the bolt sleeve on it just as I have seen on descriptions on how to disassemble the bolt, but I still can't twist the piece off. It just won't twist off.....

I haven't banged it or taken any tools to it yet, wanted to see if there was a secret before I got physical.

So, I was wondering if any one else has had any problems like this with any Mauser, in particular the Spanish Mauser and any remedies to getting it off.

Thanks in advance

once you push down on the bolt shroud, the cocking piece should just turn 90 degrees, then let off and it should come apart.

hahah, yes, I agree. It should, but it won't. I have tried all I can think of to try getting it off and it just won't come off. It just spins in a circle. I have tried lifting while turning it, but to no avail. I thought maybe it was threaded on or something. But it won't come off. Like I said, they came right off my other mauser guns, but this one, I don't know. Maybe it won't come off because its Spanish, and I hated my Spanish teacher when I was in high school. Its getting me back for all those classes I wasn't paying attention for I guess. I'll keep working at it and let you know if it comes off.

If that's the case.... I hope there's no "French" Mauser I ever want... as the curse of Miss Federovich would certainly cause it to be "the Mauser that shoots around the corner".....lol

The cocking piece should just slip off after turning 90 degrees like all other Mausers. If it still isn't off, try a few drops of penetrating oil in from the spring side overnight to loosen up the dried cosmoline or worse has the two glued together. I once put some Ballistol in my wife's jewelry cleaner with a sticky bolt, now she and I both have an ultrasonic cleaner, hers is new.
