| I have had three Mausers, still own two got ride of one that I just couldn't work with anymore, and this whole time I have wanted an Enfield but never get my chance. lol For that reason, I have to tell you Enfield. I am going nuts without one! I love the action on the Enfield, very smooth, fast, and kinda odd. Whereas the Mauser bolt is legendary, it is boring fo that same very reason, to me atleast. lol Good luck, and let us know what you choose. |

| I think the enfeild was a no. 4 mk. 1 or something like that, and the mauser is a yugo m48, wish they had k98's though. |

| I've got an Enfield No4 Mk1* and a Yugo Mauser. I like them both; but I'd say go for the Enfield. Around here, at least, Yugo Mausers are easier to come by than Enfields (any model). |

| The Enfield for historical interest and collector value. The Yugo M48 for a good plinker, or as a 'project' rifle. Good .303 ammo is getting scarcer. But, the Enfield No.4 Mk.1 will likely be more accurate than the Mauser M48. I have both.

| Member | Well the enfield ammo 303 tends to be a bit more expensive than the 8mm. So if this is going to be a every day shooter I would go with the Mauser. I've got a Yugo and a mk4. and If your hunting the mauser is lighter. and is a very reliable gun. The enfield bolt is alot smoother and is a very accurate gun |
