Question K98

What is the difference between Flat and cupped butt plates on the k98? Is the m48 yugo cupped or flat?:assult:

Don't know about the K but my 48 is ever so slightly curved. Might as well call it straight.

BTW, Charlie....the 48 is ONE sweet shooter...fer sure....yepper.

on the k98 the cupped buttplate is stamped kinda like a cup, it encloses the entire rear of the butt. the flat buttplate is literally a flat piece of steel (well slightly contoured)for a buttplate. and i dont know the cuttoff dates but the flat plates tend to be very early war 1936,37, and the cupped from then on.
