Another one

The blueing is in such good shape that in reflects the light. It appears gold under the overhead light in the room.

This is my first time at using a digital camera and I had to crop the heck out of these to get the file size down small enough and the camera isnt even set at the highest resolution.

When I had the rifle stripped down for cleaning I noticed that under the handguard there was a number and someones initials written in pencil. Those same initials are stamped in the stock along with four other approval or acceptance marks. Looks like whoever this guy was, he was in charge of fitting the wood. I thought that was neat to see.
There are also small stars stamped in the handguard, stock, magazine follower and several other places. Anyone know what the star means? Is it just another mark that doesnt mean squat?
