I have a Checkoslovakian K98. New to this gun I removed the bolt..Can not move the safety latch out of the way to get the bolt back in? Ive tried pushing in the pin to remove the safety from the rear of the bolt..nothing will spin. It most be a simple fix that I just dont see? Some please help me.

Were you trying to disassemble the bolt or just remove it from the receiver?

If just removing the entire bolt from the receiver, the position of the safety shouldn't matter.

If trying to disassemble the bolt with the safety in the wrong position, it can be a pain to correct. I did it with my Turk the first time I ever took the bolt apart. I ended up wrapping a rag around the bolt shroud and using a pair of pliers to unscrew it.

The safety should be straight up and down when trying to disassemble.

Let's see if I can remember how to do this without a bolt handy:
Hold the bolt with the face down, hold the front edge of the striker against a strong edge/something firm & unmovable and push down to compress the spring and when compressed, turn the safety to the mid position. You should then be able to disassemble or refit into the receiver.
