I only have one Mauser. It is a K98k made by Steyr-Daimler-Puch AG, Steyr, Austria in 1943. It was only my second Mil Surp. My first was a Turk K98 I bought for $49. I sold that one for $100 about a year later. I know...stupid, stupid, stupid. But, I put the money toward this Mauser.

Sometime back, I posted some photos of a mystery Mauser that I was trying to find it's roots. I have since deleted the original photos off my photobucket account. I just finished restoring this old 8mm Mauser sporter for my son in law, with some modifications to bring it up to the current century. I'm waiting for the weather to break so I can do some load development. She is a beauty now! What do you think?
New hand rubbed oil finish, filled in stock inletting relief for side scope mount, Re-blued bottom metal, Sightron 3-9X40 SI HHR scope, Bold trigger and safety, Decelerator pad, glass and pillar bedding, floated barrel, Leupold mount, Burris rings, New socket head guard screws, modified wing safety and bolt shroud, and tuned action.
You guy's are gonna hate me for showing you this....but I just gotta!
I have had the pleasure of holding, fondling this LSR for a few days and have to share the photos.
