It leaves you with $600-1000 more in your bank acount, and in a perfect position to buy 3 mint M39's, or 8 91/30's, or, well you get the picture.

Well, I would take an AR..................

......................if somebody was to GIVE me one.

But my Saiga AK type shoots the .223, and that's good enough for me.

Sounds like a poem or sumthin'

I thought the Germans tried to take Russia with some of those old Mauser rifles in WW2 and got beat back by some Mosin Nagant rifles.

I have had several Mauser's through the years and think they are pretty nice but I have sold them to buy more mosins

not to mention the russians wielding those rifles were probably not as well trained.

most never fired a gun before. and half the time it was teams of 2 one with ammo one with the gun. against a bunch of germans all with their own guns. the war in russia was a snipers war for the most part. and the mn makes a darn fine sniper rifle

Which one is now available cheaper in great condition?

I think each type of rifle has some great attributes and some negatives, and each has been a great battle rifle. To me it just comes down to which one you prefer. I like 'em both, and I think each is worth having and shooting and passing along to future generations.

I think the Mosin Nagant is a fine rifle, the mauser on the otherhand is a tad below it , mainly because it is an ugly, stinking, street walking hussie!

It's real, and costs almost 1400 bucks. Think of how many REAL mosins you can get for that! Heck for 600 more you could get a crate of 20!
