Sorry it 's taken so long to respond to your message. Ruger is a good gun also, in my book anyway. They're made well and priced afordable. They also stand by their product and won't fleese you. I will try and get to the blogs also.

Yeah I saw that, thanks. I think the 30-30 or a 280 would be too much for me. I am thinking about getting the Ruger M77 in a 7mm-08. Its compact and light weight with the shorter barrel will be great for the stalk hunting I do. I have deer hunted before but with a .50cal muzzle loader but thats only because New Jersey has some weird laws about hunting. Thank god I am from Texas!
