I spend more time on the various "boolit" forums during the winter. When the weather is good, I'm either riding my Goldwing or shooting. Cast Boolits and CBA are my favorites, but I visit about 10 shooting/reloading forums regularly.
I have two Lyman 450's and a Star sizer, plus around 30 moulds. That's not many moulds compared to some of the casters on CBA or Cast Boolits. I still own my first mould, which is a single cavity Lyman 454190 that I bought nearly 40 years ago.
As to the nose punch, the only disadvantage to using a large nose punch is that it can't push the boolit into the die any further than the top because it won't fit into the opening. In a pinch, I've used a 1/4" bolt with the threads removed as a nose punch. It doesn't self center, but it gets the job done. I also made a lot of my nose punches with my lathe.

It's been a while. Do you get on Cast Boolits or the CBA very often? I don't know if you remember, but I started casting a little over a year ago. I started with a Ranch Dog 311-165-RF. Now I have Lyman 429421, Ideal 308241, Ideal 311291, Lachmiller 28-168-K2, Lyman 358242, Lyman 452374, Lee 309-113-F, and a Lee 452-228-1R. I also have a Lyman 358429 and Lyman 358242 on loan. I finally broke down and bought a Lyman 450. Can a top punch for a 430 dia bullet be used with a 358 dia bullet, or do I have to use the ones on the castpics chart?
