Great news. We had a major storm move over before daylight this morning. 4.66 inches of rain. All of it soaked into the ground other than what drained down
    the street.

We go some rain and a wind storm blew down an airplane hanger on the northeast side of Amarillo. Possibly a tornado that did not completely form or
    wind shear downdraft.

I think we would need four or five feet of rain this year to really break the drought.

Sorry to hear about your cold, Andrew. Summer is such a lousy time to have to fight one. As for myself, I've been playing around with my muzzleloaders big time - well, some of my muzzleloaders. I seem to have rekindled a serious interest in my flintlocks. So much so, that I am having one of my .50 cal. barrels bored out smooth, to around a 20 ga. (more than likely 24 ga.,) and with that I intend on bagging not a few squirrels come Sept. I've got lots of plans for the coming hunting season. Hunting squirrel with my shotgun/rifle combo and with my soon to be newly modified flintlock, hunting deer with both my .54 cal. flintlock and my .50 cal. inline are a few things I plan on "attempting" too. We'll see, I guess. Sometimes it gets pretty tough doing everything one might like to.

And what's up with you? Have you guys dried out any down there. It wasn't too long ago you were all up to your butts in flood water. How has it panned out?
