Hi Chris and congrats on your new shotgun...With every thing going up that's still a great deal on a well made shotgun.
Like I've said it's ashame that it's made in china and very similar to the 870 Remington.
I did find out that the 870 barrels will not fit the H&R with out doing some kind of minor metal working.
I really think you'll like it and it will give you many years of good service.
I can not wait to take the 20ga. squirrel hunting and I'm tempted to buy the police model pardner.
I just got home and thought I'd take a look around g&g so Thanks for the PM and have a mighty fine weekend...I'm so tired !!! LOL A.H

Hey AH, I am going to big 5 later today to pick up a new shotgun that they just started carrying and guess what, it is an H&R pardner pump! it is on sale for $200 but I figured I would just pay a little more for it instead of going through the hassle of ordering one and paying for shipping and other fees. I will let you know if I am able to get it, thanks for the advise!

LOL ! You'll be pleasantly surprised. But make sure it has the capsity you want. the magazine tube on my 20ga. is longer than my 12 ga. tubes and all of them are suppose to hold one more round in the tube than the 870.
I can't remember with out looking it up what an 870 holds.
I got to go take a test so I'll see you later...Mike

HI Cremley good to her from you. I bought the 20ga. model and it is very nice !
There is an extensive test some where on the internet where 2 guy's bought 2 and shot 1000's of rounds through there black synthetic stock model 12ga. In every kind of enviroment.
The story tells how many rounds they fired through the guns which I think was well over 12,000 rounds and they loaned 1 to friends who shoot it but they didn't count what they shot through it.
Also one of the guys Dad worked for a major steel company and he was a metal urlijest < (spelled wrong).
They went and bought a model 870 and cut it to pieces and they cut a Pardner up to, to test the steel in both guns.
The Pardner was equall and some parts were better than the 870's.
Like I said in the post it's sad an import kicked the 870 butt.
Also anyone can afford a Partner Pump.
I expect to see them go up in price due to the excellent reports there haveing.
I've got 2 870 and 1 model 1100 and 1 Mossberg 930 semi auto shotgun and I didn't need a Pardner. But I swear to you when I researched the Pardner I found nothing but positive reports.
I had a little money key hold a way and I was curious to check one out so I ordered the 20 ga. model instead of the 12 ga.
First gun I ever bought just to see what it looked like.
Well I'm glad I bought and I didn't get a great deal I paid $160.00 for mine and Andrew Cockran bought one a week or 2 later new or $120.00 out the door. LOL
You want be out much money if you buy one and too Marlin or H&R has a paper they put with the gun telling you final assembly is made in the U.S. Also they tell about how well there inspected and built to there spec's.
I'm sold on them 100 %. Good to hear from you and I would never ever mislead anyone into buying something I thought was crap !!!!!!!!!...Mike
Ask Andrew about his he has shot his alot !!!
