Actually, I just checked, I don't have access to the home link, links link and about link across the top. The gallery link gave me a bunch of error messages.

I am trying to access the Advertising link at the top and it says I don't have permission. My company may be interested in placing a banner ad and I can't find out how much it is without access.

    Hey Chris,

You are probably aware already but some of us are having a long tail competition for squirrel hunting. Several folks want to do some sort of prize. I was thinking instead of doing a pay pal nonsense thing... of which I know hardly anything about, I was wondering if we could all donate five bucks to the site, then the winner of the competition gets like a free 1 year membership and the rest is a donation to Gun & Game? Plus maybe have some sort of thing by their name about winner of 09 squirrel hunting competition or something like that?

Does that sound like something you would want to do? I would rather have money go towards the site than a pool and have to hassle with it.

    Thoughts???

    Thanks, Mike

    ignore
hi, this is not a complaint, merely a question. i love this site and started using only the gun related forums, however, i discovered the powder keg and love the controversial subjects and the sometimes, heated, debates.
there are a few members who i usually just ignore, because they are boring, and repetitive (to me) and i know their post will be nonsensical , and also know the drift without reading it.
i believe my pleasure would be enhanced if i used the ignore button.
my question is if i use the ignore button, does the member know i cannot view their post? if not, should i notify them that i will no longer be reading them, and why? it seems impolite or rude to have someone writing to me, and i am not responding and they don't know why.
or is their an automatic feature i don't know about that lets a member know they are ignored?

    thanks,

    pat

The people.

Straight up, it's the people. I love going through random threads looking for keywords, and all I find is a real community. I've seen some posts where a "newbie" will ask a question and an "senior" member will give the answer. It's awesome to see people help each other, but it goes beyond that. Later in the thread you can see the "newbie" starting to interact and joke with the other users. It's like being the new kid on the playground,...

Right now, I have this feeling of being burnout.

I need to get away from it all right now or I may lose it.

Gun and Game is starting to stress me out, and I'm wondering why I still keep this site going when it takes so much of my time. I feel as if I'm missing out on a few things. Maybe I should look into selling the site.

Maybe it's just the stress. I think I'll take about a week off and see where I stand.

I just forced the entire website to be www.

What that means is no matter what you type

http://gunandgame.com it will force you to
http://www.gunandgame.com

This is in hopes of trying to get the cookies and other posting issues fixed.

Over the past months I have seen so many members take a few weeks or even months off from the site...I was wondering what the problem could be. Does it lie with the site itself, the staff, or simply people in general.

I believe that G&G while to some is fun and entertaining, it's a bit of work for a few of us. I work about an hour and a half away from my current home (Moving apartments). I forgot my computer for the last day or so. While I still had computer access, I...

Constantly I bounce ideas of people and I think about them sometimes months at a time. I have a notebook I carry with me sometimes, that is just packed full of ideas and ideas that will just have to wait. Here is a list of a few things that I'm hoping to get started in the month of July!
