Well not much advice. Thanks for looking at pics. Put a variety of pics there.
The FN FAL L1A1 started as a parts kit from a bud who couldn't get the damn thing to work. I bought the kit for $30 (yes I know good deal). Then bought an Imbel Metric receiver. A local guy put it together for me but it needed a barrel and had the wrong gas tube or piston. He put in an Argentine surplus barrel and changed the part for gas system.
It will shoot a 5/8" group @100 scoped.

There are some kits and receivers still available out there. It's been a great rifle until recently. The gas tube cracked at thread end and became loose. I'm fixen to fix it.
