Jimkim; I too have a Lee production pot, two in fact, one holds 10 lbs of lead the other 20 lbs. Both are the ladle or dipper type.
When moulding bullets for my SAs, [that's all I shoot in the pistol, revolver catagory] I use Alox. When moulding for bullets for BP I use S.P.G. or D.G.L. lube.

    G'day Jimkim,
Sorry I took so long to reply. I've been away for a couple of months doing a bit of travelling, hunting and cattle work. Good to hear from you. Stay safe and healthy.

Thanks--jimkim. It's amazing how he and the other folks that got us into this mess (especially by pusing easy money to their pet projects and buy-a-vote base) try to weasel out of any personal responsiblity (as well as spin the truth). Although we kind of expect this these days, it just ain't right. One of the things we always do, at least in the flying biz, is accept personal responsibility; the dems seem pretty adept at trying to blame someone else for everything (when they know damn well it's their personal fault). I understand how this works psychologically but really don't know how they sleep at nights.

I personally agree with bill's assessment of "coward." Don't think I could put it any better, but it boggles and bothers me how people like barney and pals get (and stay) in kongress--something's wrong.

    Cheers

Thanks for the info on the .40 cal in a 410. I read the whole forum topic. I found some .451" round lead balls (100 pk) on clearance for $6.95 and thought what the heck, they are worth that just to melt down & make into bullets!

    Thanks, jimkim !

I really hate how the folks (namely many dems in congress) who put us on the spot here are getting a pass from the media due to the media's slant -- I really would like to see them held accountable. It's pretty basic you don't lend too much $ to people who can't pay it back. I'm the people, and I'm pretty outraged that klinton, barney, doddster, barack hussein, et al were allowed to put us in this spot in the first place, and they are the ultimate hypocrites in now condemning it (and shouldn't be allowed to get away with it). They're the ones who built the house of cards. They're the ones who helped rob America. People need to know this--the "regulators" WERE the root cause of the problem.

    Thanks again

I wholeheartedly agree, jimkim--and it's amazing to me how people could be surprised by this--we know our huge deficits and debt very well. What we got from warshington was a cover-up (which wouldn't have worked anyway) trying to protect the assets of a few by throwing money away. Some brave members of congress listened to their constituents who shouted a very loud "no" and went against the bailout. It struck me as condescending when folks were saying "the people just don't get it" -- we DO get it and don't like it ! There's just a whole bunch of debt there that shouldn't be, and the "credit drying up" is essentially just going back to the way it used to be (and should be) -- pay for what you buy, and don't give credit to people who can't pay you back.

We'll be OK--we have lots of resources here, a clever and hard working work force (potentially), and a decent transportation method. What you said is the best plan--don't throw our tax dollars away--but infuse capital into the economy by suspending the capital gains tax for everyone--this will actually work. Drill and build everywhere, and burn and develop what we got. We need only get the overregulation out of the way. Turn out inherent coal into oil. Build heavy industries again. Congress actually STOPPED our military development of coal petro fuels--they need to, again, get out of the way and let folks develop this.

Also, develop nuclear. If we need, we can keep this in the hip pocket to help jump start the economy again. Unfortunately, there will be a violent shakeout (which we really need) from the market which is it fixing itself (unfortunately the free market is as ruthless as it is efficient--we kid ourselves thinking we can control or outguess this, but we can't. In fact, when gov't screws with it, we get into a mess like we're in now.) I think, like you said, the DOW dropping below 8000 probably won't happen. When you erase the debt from the equation, 8-9K is about where our value is right now.

Think it'll work--thanks for the insight

hey sorry about taking so long to reply, i forget to look at the p.m. thing when i come to these other fforums.
it has been kinda of embarassing when it takes me two months to reply to a p.m.

the 35 cal seems to be a good size, not too big and not too small, like the 8mm.
decent weights, good velocity and nothing seems to walk away.
i just think that a lot of people only see the velocity end of things and really donot have much to go on in the field.
or they get all wrapped up in 1/2" groups forgetting that their rifle shoots 2" to the left on the first shot.
the 35 gets no attention or respect. much like the 7&8mm mauser cartridges.
when i tell people i am using a 7 mauser ackley imp when up hunting i get the glassy stare and a uhhuh.
or if they see a cast rifle boolit loaded up while deer hunting, you would think that i was just running amok and wounding animals left and right just to kill off their deer herd.
i am a fan of a long neck in a case design, a square body and a sharp shoulder are nice too.
i think they are efficient in this shape, you can pack the most in a smaller area and eliminate a lot of pressure problems i also think that this type of design helps with throat erosion and lengthens barrel life.
i have thought about a 8 mauser case necked up to 35 ackleyed it would rival and maybe beat the whelen
and use a bit less powder to do it.
if you could push a 300 gr bullet to near 2100 fps wow. that would be a bit much for deer but elk, moose, buffalo
    out to about 200 yds.
man even a miss on a rabbit might do it in.

Well interesting to me anyway. I never read any of the post in that forum until this morning. This is what I found.

Legal and Political is now closed
The Firing Line regrets to announce that the Legal and Political Forum is now closed to new posts. This drastic measure is necessary to maintain the integrity of TFL.

Many years ago, we were challenged by Rich Lucibella to prove a point. “…that Internet Discussion Forums need not be ‘Chat Rooms’; that spirited debate...

Why havent we seen this on MSNBC or CNN?

"LA Times: Biden son, brother invested with firm that lobbied him"

"When Joe Biden’s brother and son wanted to buy a hedge fund company two years ago, they turned for financing to a law firm that had lobbied the Delaware senator’s office on an important piece of business in Congress — and in fact had just benefited from his vote.
The firm promised James and Hunter Biden that it would invest $2 million, and...

This happens all the time now. It NEVER seems to make to the mainstream though.

Washington Times - Border patrol agent held at gunpoint

We are ROUTINELY invaded by foreign nationals AND THEIR ARMY. Yet nothing is done about it. It is time for Texas,Arizona, and New Mexico to bring back the original rangers and take care of business.

People when a foreign county's army invades your country you are in a state of WAR!!!
This kind of Sh!t wouldnt happen...
