$25 is huge for a transfer, its what i pay, but my gun guy/store, helps me with advice, repairs and i trust him completely on these matters.
the ffl does not have to transfer it, merely enter/hold it to forward to the ffl of the winning bidder.
nomb, but if the $25 fee could be taken from your "general" fund, after all it is used to increase donations, further, if u insist on paying it yourself ,you could run it thru as a cash donation, at least you would get the benefit of a tax write off.
you could post looking for an ffl in your area, that may be willing to help for much less, its 2 minutes of paper work.
i think u could get lots of old gun donations if you worked that angle, but if u don't recover costs it may break you.
if u are uncomfortable posting re an ffl i will do it on your behalf.

Supposedly, God has "plans" for all our lives. And yet the theists
believe that they can talk him into changing some part/parts of that
plan that they don't like, by praying. If there really is a god and
it really has a "plan" for the life of each human, then whatever
happens is God's Will, right? And praying either (1) wouldn't do any
good; or (2) would be an insult to God, because the person would be
asking god to change his (supposedly) perfect plan.
When you stop and think about it as an organic whole, you see how
contradictory it all is.
