Sure thing. I'll mosey on over there and let you know what I think. I'll admit that I am a bit more of an old-school *nix geek myself, but I do speak some OS X thanks to the graphic artists I support.

Hey let me ask your opinion if you don't mind? I am kind of a Unix/Linux convert to Mac as of the recent years. I am building my website kind of like an online resume of my skills, but I want to gear it up towards people that are afraid to learn all about what a Mac is. If you get a few minutes out of your day and browse it, let me know what you think

    Thanks

Well, I can never accuse my work of being boring. Some parts of it are repetitive, but more often than not I am dealing with some oddball issue or another, stomping the occasional bug that shows up in software that's been in use for several years and adapted to match an evolving business. I get an even mix of system and people time, so I'm pretty happy.

Sounds like you get to work with every aspect which makes your work more fun and not as monotonous. I am a OS X/Unix systems administrator for a school district that has a 1:1 program. I am the directory administrator, the server administrator, LDAP and user account administrator, I do all package making and package deployment, mass imaging, local end user support, phone support, I manage all of our Open Directory and Casper servers. I also do all the policies and everything inbetween. I don't deal with networking hardware we have a Cisco guy for that. I barely have to deal with the PC side of administration, only when they need my help, and I don't do much development as we have an in house programmer for all of that stuff.

I guess you can say that I am a half "converted" PC users into the Mac/Linux/Unix world.

I'm a geek of all trades at the moment- aside from taking care of the entire corporate infrastructure for a small (OK, very small) marketing company, I am also managing a good portion of their marketing campaigns as well. I support a mix of Macs, PCs and the Linux servers that our big databases and web apps run on. So... what're you in IT/"the looney bin" for?
