All year long I look forward to the next deer season, and it's that time again here in Missouri. Last weekend I hunted with my two son's in law and one of their brothers in the extreme NW corner of Missour, in Atchinson County. Hamburg, Iowa is about 20 miles north where we usually have our deer processed.

Not only do I deer hunt...but I also enjoy taking my old 16 ft aluminum modified V hull to the lake about one day every week for crappie fishing.

The word "harvested" seems a little weak for what actually happens to those deer that meet up with a bullet to their body. So why not just say 300,000 deer were killed and be totally frank?
