    Hmm thats very strange. I had a mini for awhile and those factory 5 round mags worked perfectly. that just makes no sense to me. i had an after market cabelas brand 20 rounder that worked excellent in my ranch rifle, maybe try something like that?? Idk what to tell you other than that, but good luck. Oh and also i'm jealous lol i wish i still had my mini.
