It was actually pretty reasonable considering what was done. I had the slide finished with KG gun kote, the external parts finished with silver and the slide in purple (it looks better in person). and a polishing of the barrel, and the remaining slide detail in silver. The whole thing including shipping was $175. The whole process took about 6 weeks and I'm actually thinking about doing something like this to my XDm (not in purple of course)
Thanks Sc1 hope you had great Christmas and new year as well. This was a good year for black tales in skagit and whatcom county, the three that I have pics of were in the areas that I listed.
sea chicken, if you a want a spot to scout this summer try the Lake Mcmurray area, the Finn Settlement rd. to the east and lake Cavanaugh. Lots of area and big deer, good luck.
Good luck with the transfer. Let me know when you get back, I'll still be here for two years at least(my Girlfriend is getting a second masters at U.W.) Are you in the Navy? Still haven't gone to green mountain but I'll make it up there sonner than later.
Thanks for the info. I'll try to check it out. There has been a ton of early season snowfall this year so it may be unaccessible. When you get back we should go shooting sometime. Just_a_Car also lives in Everett he's a good guy. I've met him at the range in Kenmore before and attempted to go shoot with him the other day but we were snowed out.
