Sounds great to me. Since I last posted Ive gotten the mag and other accessories I ordered. Saving up for a custom set of wood grips I saw recently. I noticed you were into rocks. Many years ago I used to live in Idaho (went to college there actually) and I used to make jewlery from agates and other stones I used to find. Haven't done it for decades and no longer have the equipment I used to have but it was fun.

I just baught A CZ-82 this past week. B4 I did, I trolled through a few forums to get the feel of what people thought of this gun. I saw a rather old post of yours and noticed that you were from the upstate of SC. I am living in Anderson, SC. Been here almost 20 yrs now. BTW, I love this gun. The feel, the weight, shooting it, pretty much everything. I've ordered another mag, speed loader and a new holster. Chat with you later sir.

I've been told that I have peculiar tastes! *LOL* There is something about the forms of crystals that has always intrigued me. Event though I didn't do all that well in crystalography, I enjoyed the course.

There probably are crynoid segments in that specimen. They are found scattered throughout the limestone. You got the right one for the trilobite fragments from the black Hills. They are hard to identify, but that is what they are. I have a chunk that does have some clearly identifyable pieces. I find the various Spirifers to be very interesting myself. The two most common ones in that strata are Paraspirifer and Mucrospirifer. I'm glad you are happy with the package. I've had time to look over the rest of the specimens that you sent. The irridescent minerals are fascinating. I've got a few nice samples of specular hematite and magnetite that I found at a quartz mine in Canada. Those will make a great addition to my "iron oxide" collection. And the Lazulite is really fantastic. I love the color. I'm glad I contacted you. This has been a very worthwhile exchange. Thanks again.

The package arrived this afternoon. Haven't had time to look at everything yet, but the lazulite and blue quartz are interesting to say the least. Thanks.

It been so long since I packed the stuff, I can't remember (you know' the first thing to go') There is a complete Phacops, some trilobite fragments from the Black Hills (cambrian age) Some spirifer and other Brachiopods. Its a small box, so I'm not worried about you shorting me. Its more likely the other way around. There is a description in the box of what the samples are. BTW, most Phacops Rana curled up when they died. Nobody seems to know why. All but one that I've ever seen have been curled!

Talking with my friend the other day, he was telling me about his seatbelt ticket. He said "It wasn't the government's job to keep him alive!"

He then went on to tell me his dad gets them all the time and refuses to wear one because the issue was not put up for him to vote on rather forced upon him by the federal and state governemnt. He said his dad got one once to which the smug cop asked him "Guess you'll wear your seatbelt now won't you?" His dad looked at...

Thought I'd post this here to keep it readily available.

It is necessary to regulate our rights. That is, it is necessary to pass laws to restrict our rights in order to guarantee that other's rights remain intact.

Look at the 1st amendment:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition...

I'm not a financial guru of any sort so I can't say that this bailout is necessary or not. But a few things puzzle me:
1. If this is such a dire need, that we have to have this or else, why take a holiday?
2. If this was such a dire need, why add pork that included tax breaks and other non essential junk in it?
I seriously have to question anything these jackholes do.
Now the Blame.
Ultimately we are all to blame. Our economy runs off fast money. "no money...

Well, its that time again; Election Time! Who are you gonna vote for? Well let me tell you who you SHOULD vote for.

Please just vote for the person who you think will do the best job and address the issues you think are important to the nation. The only thing I am going to ask is that you use your head and think for yourself and familiarize you with each candidate. Don't listen so much to what others say without trying to verify the information for yourself.

I don't...

While never having been exposed to this type of behavior at the range or in the gun store, I have been exposed to it numerous times here on G&G and on the internet gun forums.

Why do people buy what they buy? Some buy only the best money can buy. Others buy what their buddies have. Some buy for economy. Some buy because of the recommendation from other shooters regardless of the validity of the advice given.

So here are some guidelines we should follow when giving...
