Howdy, Tank!
I have the earlier Model 87A, but they are very similar.
1) Loosen bottom screw and remove action from stock.
2) Having made sure it's unloaded, pull trigger to drop the hammer.
3) Unscrew receiver end piece, removing it.
4) Move bolt to rear, remove hammer assembly and it's spring to the rear.
5) Align bolt handle with opening at rear of track iin receiver, and remove it to the right.
6) Use a small tool to push the bolt to the rear out of the receiver.
Reassembly is the reverse. I prefer a good 'dry lube' like CLP on these rifles. It doesn't collect crud like oil.
If it has some corrosion, soak the barreled action in some penetrating oil - you said it had been neglected, could be some crud in there. Do this with the stock off the rifle, to preserve the finish.
I would not try disassembling the bolt or the trigger/sear system - they can get tricky.
Hope this helps! These rifles can be really good shooters! Mine puts my newer Ruger 10-22 to shame!
