the trike is a 1986 Gl 1200 with a triwing kit conversion to trike. has 22,000 actual miles on it and I have only had it 2 1/2 yrs , we belong to the brotherhood of the third wheel and enjpy going to there get togethers .. little known fact is honda gold wing makes twice as many motorcycles in this country than harley does .. I generally use BLO and finish it off with tru oil for last coat on stocks

That trike of yours is good-lookin! I've got a buddy with one, and really admire its looks. I live a couple blocks from our Harley dealer, and our street is a constant traffic flow of big rumblers...

I've got another friend who took a "muddy" oiled Mauser, Easy-Off'ed the stock twice, then soaked it in a parts-cleaning trough for two days in a Clorox bath before drying it off by slathering it with rubbing alcohol. Then, and only then, did he steel-wool it. He polyurethaned the stock once it was clean (not that I'm that hot on plastic-coated Mausers), and it looks like a piece of "Danish Modern" oak furniture. That thing's blonder than this Swedish gal in my junior high school class...
