As far as those engine failures go I was lucky. One was during the takeoff roll. I had about 70 KIAS so it was an interesting ride. The other was on 1/2 mile final. My first failure (I've had three) was in a Pitts during crossover spin practice. It started right back up but that was after a few expletives. Well I'll talk to ya later. Take care.

As for me I'm a Comm.,Multi.,Inst. w/ Tailwheel endorsement. I used to fly Grand Canyon tours but quit after my 2nd engine failure. Before that I was a banner tow pilot out of Long Beach,CA.
I also dispatched for a flight school in CA. that specialized in tailwheel and aerobatics.
In addition to flying your typical Cessnas and Pipers I have time in a J-3, Aeronca Champ, Citabria, Super Decathlon, Pitts Special, and an SNJ-5.
Oh and I also spent four summers loading cropdusters in N. Nevada.
