You have no idea how much red tape that a police officer or a FBI agent has to go through to even get a simple warrant. You have to understand how the government works. No one, from your local police officer to a FBI agent can do anything till a judge says's it's OK. Only a judge can grant a subpoena or a warrant to search someone's house. Law enforcement can only act as quickly as a judge allows them to. I think law enforcement handled this case perfectly. Sometimes I wished the police could act faster in a case myself, but in most cases they have to go to the D.A. and the D.A. has to find a judge who is probably out playing golf somewhere. This wasn't just some kid playing on the internet, this guy is 22 years old. The biggest problem that faces law enforcement today is some liberal judge letting some repeat offender back out on the street in 6 months. I hope this guy really isn't nut job because in 6 months he is going to be back on the street. And if he makes another threat, or actually carries out a threat who do you think is going to take the blame? Law Enforcement or Homeland Security will be taking the blame for it. Even though some judge will be letting this guy out in 6 months or maybe sooner. So if you want to blame someone blame the judge.
All threats must be taken seriously, like I said the threat was made just a few days before the games were played. And yes Homeland Security does work with the FBI, but they are not part of the FBI.
Homeland Security wasn't the ones who led the investagation. It was the FBI, and yes, I think they are doing a great job also. The threat was made just a few days before the games were played, do you really think you are smarter than our FBI?
