hello my name is ryan i am currently studying to be an aerospace engineer and im going to Embry riddle aero univ in Prescott az. i noticed in your recent post to the air france flight that you use to be a safety and accident investigator. Im looking to maybe move in to that field some day i was just wondering if you had any advise for a college student looking to get in to crash investigation. I currently have my private pilot license and looking to soon get my multi engine certification. Im more of a jack of all trades with aeronautics focusing on all aspects of aerospace, engineering, pilot, and investigation. Feel free to PM me with your comments also thank you very much for you time.

PS. i agree 100% that flying under the right conditions is safer than driving ie. commercial flight with trained crew and schedule maintenance aircraft, is very safe much safer than driving from your house to the airport.

I'm with you on the torture thing. I think the most aggravating argument I can make with Troy and the other lefties is to just quote the law. I don't believe it was torture either, but as long as they want to go down this road what say we get all of the scoundrels. This time I think we should push so that the "process" burns all of them. What do you think?

Glad to be of help ! I haven't been able to find any 000 recently but have put some on backorder at Cabela's website which hopefully will come through soon. Might try Natchez shooting supply as well. It's the Winchester Super-X 2 1/2" .410 bore 000 buckshot load --3 pellets-- there's only currently one. If you get the 3" chamber version you can get the 3" 5 pellet load and might have better luck with availability.

Federal is coming out with a .410 bore 000 buckshot load that's 2 1/2" and 4 pellets--sounds ideal (Midway USA has it as "coming soon"). Haven't seen it anywhere yet though.

Here's what I use for .45 LC defensive rounds (this and Leverrevolution):

Standard Pressure Heavy .45 Colt Pistol & Handgun Ammunition

I stay away from +P in .45 LC in the Judge.

Good luck--the buckshot availability has been very bad lately but will hopefully improve as supply catches up.

You know your preaching to the choir. At least for the most part. I love that gunshow loophole BS. They know if they called it the elimination of private sales, people would come out of the woodwork against it.

Just back from a trip to Asia, then went through the Juneau and Ketchikan areas of Alaska.

What a beautiful trip ! Could almost move up there if I ran across some $ and could convince the wife that I was meant to be a floatplane pilot and away from the big city. Still pretty cold (50 F), but the scenery was simply breathtaking. It's summer, though, and the rain kind of held off for alot of the trip.
